Happy New Year drawings!

Actually I did these last year! But they seem to all be sorta happy in some way... I like drawing straight with pen, with no planning beforehand, that's where these came from. Also, I have decided to do "3 - word movie reviews" with each one of my new posts. People's movie reviews are usually too long, boring, and self - absorbent to read, so I figure I'll keep it short and simple then maybe people can get into it.

Macro Bugs!

I took a bunch of 'macro' pictures of bugs from the CalArts natural history collection for a final project for my class. Here's some of my favorites. The rest will be up on the collection's website in the next week or so.






They kind of remind me of weird monsters from Godzilla or something.

PIRANHAS!

Here's the film I made for this semester's 48 hour film fun fest, foo! It was fun. For some reason youtube always chooses the most boring frame of my films to use as the preview picture for it... I gotta learn how to mess with that. Enjoy. The theme was... Piranhas

Halloween on the Brain!

Hey! I love halloween. And I love typography. Today in class I drew this pumpkinheaded guy, then started making letters out of him. Not all the letters are there, and some of em' are just damn strange but ah, hey, cool, have fun, yeah!
